Zosect feed on tree roots, and usually avoid unwanted attention by using illusion to disguise themselves as fungi. If this doesn't work, Zosect will cycle through illusions of other Pokémon they have seen in an attempt to be intimidating.

Zosect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. To protect themselves from danger, they hide their true identities by transforming into people and Pokémon.
