Spinasect weaves a large but fragile web, and most Pokémon that make contact simply break through it. However, the strands of broken webbing that stick to them carry Spinasect's fungal spores, spreading them wherever they travel next.

Spinasect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. The web it spins can be considered its second nervous system.
