Crotoise use their wings to row through the water, filling their shell with bubbles to aid in their buoyancy. They are not very fast swimmers, their shell too bulky to be streamlined, but they can use their cannons to provide a brief burst of speed.
The waterspouts that protrude from its shell are highly accurate. Over the course of evolution, its hind legs turned into wings.
