Supposedly, its large eye allows it to witness natural disasters that may befall a locale it witnesses. Each head is capable of thinking individually, but they may also think as one on a level comparable to a Metagross.

It evolved from exposure to a special magnetic field. It sharply senses even subtle changes in the sky and the land to predict natural disasters.
