Bubone are very small Pokémon, with 70% of their bodies made up of plant-like appendages that they use to photosynthesize and gain energy. As protection from predators, they hide inside small crevices or inside skulls from deceased, larger Pokémon.
It pines for the mother it will never see again. Over the winter, it closes its bud and endures the cold.
