Tanterra acts gentle in the presence of others, luring unsuspecting Pokémon to rest on its back. The plant on its shell will then ensnare them with its tendrils and drag them inside it to be consumed.
Small Pokémon occasionally gather on its unmoving back to begin building their nests. Its vines snap off easily and painlessly if they are grabbed, allowing it to make a quick getaway.
