Dhelzing dwell in the lowest depths of the ocean, feeding on detritus and releasing a variety of chemicals into the water. These chemicals attract bacteria that many oceanic Pokémon feed on, making Dhelzing a keystone of the ecosystem.

By diluting its toxic gases with a special process, the highest grade of perfume can be extracted. The soul of seaweed adrift in the waves became reborn as this Pokémon.
