Maginix is often found along the riverbed, searching for food and shelter. Despite its size, it is considered a weak bottom-feeder.

They burrow in the mud at the bottom of lakes and ponds. They are hardy enough to survive in any body of water, and actually seem to prefer it when the water is dirty.

There is a magnet in its brain that prevents an Maginix from losing direction while tunneling. Its swimming muscles are weak, so it is easily washed away by currents.
