Cradsect live in the shallows of seas, their heavy bodies protecting them from being washed away by waves. When the tide goes out, they dig in the sand to find prey, which they immobilize with paralytic spores from their tentacles.

Cradsect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. It drags its heavy body along the seafloor.
