Reshisect need a great deal of food. Using heat energy, they alter the local climate to make plants grow faster, allowing them to feed on the plants. Altering the weather requires a lot of energy, perpetuating the cycle as they seek more food.

Reshisect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. When Reshisect's tail flares, the heat energy moves the atmosphere and changes the world's weather.
