Vigoder lives on riverbanks, using its tongue to burrow in the sand and dirt all day. While it sometimes finds food, it seems to do this more out of restlessness, and it will not stay in any of these burrows for long.
At night, it burrows a hole in the seafloor with its broad tongue to make a place to sleep. It can't keep still because its blood boils with energy.
