While flying rapidly above the surface of the ocean using its large wings, Warbat steers and maintains its balance using its ears and hind limbs. To rest, it uses air trapped within its shell to float on the surface of the water.

Over the course of evolution, its hind legs turned into wings. Its large tail is covered with rich, thick fur that deepens in color with age.
